FOUR TYPES OF ACTIVITIES

[BP] - Business Plan activity

HOW THESE NOTES WORK

T1 - REFERRAL PHASE
[VR, 1a] Client referred to SELL Program (Client referred to our foundation. if client does not have case open with Vocational Rehabilition (VR), we will help them open a case. They can continue to move forward in the process on the condition that they continue towards opening a case.)


T2 - INTAKE PHASE
[VR, 2a] Foundation member works with VR counselor to have self-employment listed as the client's Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) goal.

[AGF] Client completes intake process (Client completes online intake form. Team reviews intake form and schedules introductory call. Note: If entrepreneurship is not good fit for client, we refer back to VR and provide resources for other organizations in our network.)
[AGF] Client is assigned a mentor (Hours of support from mentor may vary based on availability) 

[BP] Client enrolls in next business planning course
[VR] Client completes Preliminary Questionnaire for Self-Employment Enterprise (IL488-0284) with help of business mentor. Form is sent to VR counselor.


T3 - STARTUP PHASE 
[BP] Client completes initial 1-page business plan. 
[AGF] Client business plan is reviewed by BP review committee.
[Money] Initial startup funds are provided to entrepreneur to complete proof of concept. **while not settled on an exact amount, this will only be a couple hundred bucks**
[AGF] Client schedules time to work on proof of concept with staff member in our production lab.
[VR] Client meets with counselor to discuss progress and show proof of concept product
[VR] Client makes request from counselor for equipment that is associated with accomodating their disability. SEE: ADMINISTRATIVE CODE TITLE 89, Chapter IV, Subchapter b, Section 590.320.d


T4 - REFINEMENT PHASE
[VR] Client completes Initial Proposal for Self-Employment Enterprise (IL488-0283) and submits to VR counselor for review.
[BP] Client completes full business plan.
[AGF] Client business plan is reviewed by BP review committee.
--if it does not pass review, client must address comments from committee and resubmit


T5 - EXECUTION PHASE
[AGF] Client receives dedicated space within business incubator for operating their business
[AGF] Business page for client will be set up on the website. Client will have option to sell their products on our e-commerce site. **we will either take 30% or accept tips, like ActBlue. Maybe something inbetween. TBD**
[AGF] Foundation assists client with setting up an ABLE account. **Ideally we will find an organization that specializes in this so we don't have to stretch too thin**
[AGF] Foundation will connect client with other, specialized organizations that help with business activities such as accounting, legal, accreditation, etc.
[AGF] Foundation will provide additional business learning materials and workshops for entrepreneurs.
[Money] Client has additional money allocated to them from grant fund to go towards approved business expenses.
[VR] Client and foundation member meet with counselor to make request for funds. Documentation of available funds from the foundation (and funds already provided to client) will be provided.
